Even if both the sender and recipient use Ethereum addresses, you must still verify the currency in the order. After selecting the wallet account that will receive USDT, confirm that it supports the USDT token on Ethereum mainnet.

02Verify the send amount and the wallet's total deduction separately
Even assuming the wallet has 0.1 ETH, you cannot automatically enter the full balance as the order deposit: you also need to verify the current sending fee. The specific sendable amount should be determined from the wallet's confirmation information; the article does not preset a Gas reserve value that applies to all transactions.
When withdrawing from a platform, check the ETH network, whether fees are deducted from the amount, and the ETH the order can actually receive. Do not directly subtract the ETH fee from the USDT receiving amount; for the comparison method, see the quote comparison guide.

03The receiving end must accept Ethereum USDT
From the USDT deposit page of the receiving wallet or platform, select the Ethereum mainnet, then copy the receiving address. The same account may hold both ETH and USDT, but whether the platform supports both assets must be confirmed separately. The USDT token contract is not a personal deposit address.
Before filling it in, you can use the USDT Ethereum address checklist to confirm the network, asset, minimum amount, and ownership; passing the address format check cannot replace these conditions.

04Send native ETH to the order, and receive USDT
After creating the order, use the Ethereum deposit information for this order to send native ETH. Do not instead send WETH, USDT, or ETH on another network; they are not equal to the sending asset selected on this page. The payment amount and deadline are subject to this order.
If you fill in an order refund address, it should support the original sending asset Ethereum ETH. The campaign fee refund uses Ethereum USDT, which is a separate purpose and cannot be confused just because it is on the same chain.

06On the same chain, there are still two records with different purposes
The ETH deposit record shows that you sent native assets to the order; the USDT payment record shows that the exchange result was sent to the receiving address. Although both are on Ethereum, they are still different records, and the deposit hash cannot be used to prove that USDT has been paid.
If the receiving interface only shows the ETH balance, first check the USDT asset under the Ethereum network and the corresponding transfer. Subsequent outgoing USDT also requires verifying ETH Gas. If it has still not arrived for a long time, see order status and evidence to avoid duplicate deposits.

FAQ
Can ETH be sent from Arbitrum or Base?
This page selects the Ethereum mainnet. ETH on Arbitrum and Base belongs to different networks; you should first change the sending network, and cannot transfer directly just because they are all called ETH.
After receiving USDT, do I still need ETH to send it onward?
In an ordinary self-custody wallet, continuing to send out USDT from the Ethereum mainnet requires paying network fees in ETH. Keeping a fee balance helps with subsequent operations.
USDT and ETH addresses are the same, can they be swapped automatically?
The same address format or account does not mean assets will be swapped automatically. You still need to create the corresponding swap order and send according to the currency, network, and deposit address specified by the order.
